Disc Brakes

DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kits are a popular upgrade for RV trailers because they offer superior stopping performance, cooler operation, and easier maintenance than traditional drum brakes. Disc brakes shed heat much better, which reduces brake fade on long downhill grades and helps keep stopping power strong and consistent. They also have fewer moving parts, making inspection and servicing simpler, and many RV owners report noticeably shorter stopping distances (often up to ~50 % quicker) compared to drums — which can improve towing safety and confidence on the road

Steel Braided Brake Lines

Upgrading to steel-braided brake lines instead of standard rubber ones gives your RV’s braking system a firmer, more consistent feel and helps transfer your foot’s braking force more directly to the brakes because the braided steel resists expanding under pressure the way rubber does. That can mean better pedal feedback, less “sponginess,” and more reliable braking performance, especially under heavy or repeated braking, and the stainless braided construction is generally more durable and resistant to aging and heat than rubber hoses.

Solid Steel Lug Nuts

Upgrading to solid steel lug nuts (one-piece, no thin decorative cap) instead of the typical two-piece or capped style gives RV owners greater long-term strength and reliability — the solid design won’t trap moisture between a cap and nut that can cause corrosion, cracking, or binding over time, which makes wheel removal easier and safer during tire changes or service. Solid nuts also tend to have better clamping integrity under heavy loads and repeated torque cycles, reducing the chance of loosening or damage on long trips and harsh road conditions compared with cheaper capped nuts whose covers can peel or fail.
